In order to become a member of the Fluvanna County Radio Control Flying Club, you must also become a member of the Academy of Model Aeronautics [AMA]. To join AMA, you can either apply online through their online application service.
To join our club you will need to fill out an application. Member App 2018 Once you’ve filled out the form, bring it with you to our next club meeting and we’ll get you started. Please familiarize yourself with our club constitution and by laws.

Meetings
Our club meetings are held on an irregular basis due to the small size of the club. Meetings may take place at the Fluvanna County Library Building (here’s a map showing location of the library), or at our the club flying field. Check the front page of the website for most current info on the time and place of the next meeting.
Club Field
The public is always welcome to join us at our flying field for yearly events or as a guest of a club member. Our field is located right next to the Fluvanna County Landfill off of Route 6. Click the “directions” tab for a map and directions to the field.
History
The first official meeting of the Fluvanna County Radio Control Flying Club was held at the Lake Monticello Fire and Rescue Building on January 30, 2000. Two weeks later, February 17, 2000, the Academy of Model Aeronautics officially issued Club Charter #4113, AMA District IV, to FCRCFC. The Club’s purpose and objectives shall be to promote Fluvanna County, Virginia, Radio control Aircraft Modelers in radio control model flying and construction, the advancement of model aviation, support the programs and activities of AMA and to generate good will through our actions within the community.
